If you’ve sent Ethereum (ETH) or ERC20 tokens to your Ledger device and they are not visible in Ledger Live, follow these steps to resolve the issue.
Ledger Live Doesn’t Display My Withdrawal/Transfer from the Exchange
If your ETH/ERC20 token withdrawal or transfer from an exchange isn’t showing up in Ledger Live, check the following:
Verify the Network Used for Receiving Assets:
When receiving assets on your Ledger from an exchange like Coinbase, ensure you selected the correct network for withdrawal. Choosing the wrong network can result in your assets not appearing in Ledger Live.
Learn More: Ensure the withdrawal network matches your Ledger account’s network to view your assets correctly.
Check the Transaction Type:
Exchanges often batch Ethereum (ETH) withdrawals to reduce fees, processing them via smart contracts as internal transactions on the Ethereum blockchain. Older versions of Ledger Live might not display these batched transactions.
Solution: Update Ledger Live to the latest version via the notification banner or directly through ledger.com/ledger-live and clear the app’s cache.
Check Details: Visit the ‘Internal Transactions’ section of your Ethereum account on Etherscan for details on these transactions.
Check if Your ERC20 Token Is Supported
Ledger Live supports most ERC20 tokens, but not all. Unsupported ERC20 tokens will not appear in Ledger Live or create a transaction record.
Verify Token Support:
Open Ledger Live and navigate to the Accounts section.
Click Add account.
In the field “Choose a crypto asset”, type the name or ticker of your ERC20 token (e.g., Tether USD (USDT)).
Supported tokens will show up with their respective networks, such as:
Ethereum – ERC20 token
Binance Smart Chain – BEP20 token
Tron – TRC20 token
Polygon – ERC20 token on Polygon network
Algorand – Algo token
Elrond – Elrond token
Stellar – Stellar network tokens
Token Support Status:
Token Is Supported: If your token appears in the list with the Ethereum label, it should be supported. If it’s not visible in Ledger Live despite being supported, there may be another issue. Contact support with your issue description and transaction ID.
Token Is Not Supported: If your token does not appear, Ledger Live does not support it. Consider using other methods or wallets that support your token.
If you’re still experiencing issues after these checks, please reach out to Ledger support with detailed information about your issue and transaction ID to get further assistance.
