Understanding xPub
An extended public key (xPub) allows you to view all transactions and balances associated with a Bitcoin (BTC) account without needing access to the private keys. It’s a read-only key that can help you analyze your Bitcoin account. Analysis for xPubs from other Bitcoin-like accounts (e.g., Litecoin, Bitcoin Cash, Zcash) is not currently supported. Is It Safe to Share xPub?
Yes, it is generally safe to share your xPub, unlike your 24-word recovery phrase. However, anyone with access to your xPub can monitor your Bitcoin transactions and balances. It’s best to keep your xPub as private as possible to avoid potential privacy concerns.
